Chianti Classico 2017, Isole e Olena

Sour Cherry and ripe plum with soft, elegant tannins. Grown in central Chianti Classico on vineyards 400 metres above sea level the vines get a cooling sea breeze which results in a wine that is both lighter and more scented than many other Chiantis. The hills of Isole and Olena were largely abandoned till the 80s when they were recognized as being ideal for lower yielding vines which would emphasize quality over quantity. This amazing wine is the result.
