Saint-Joseph 'Esprit de Granit' Selection Parcellaire, Héritiers Gambert, Cave de Tain, Rhone, France, 2019

The name of this wine says it all - Spirit of Granite.  It screams spicy, juicy, fruity Syrah grown on the cool granite slopes of Saint-Joseph.  Fragrant liqourice and vanilla on the nose meet flavours of sweet blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry all washed in with silky fine tannin.  It's supremely elegant with incredible finesse and length.  It really is one of our favourite wines from Cave de Tain .. and that's saying something.
