Kumeu River Estate Chardonnay, 2022

Hailing from 6 different vineyard locations, the Kumeu Estate Chardonnay only uses the best grapes for their estate label. The result is a wonderfully concentrated style chardonnay with flavours of ripe peach, with subtle honeyed notes, but still with that refreshing apple note you get from Chardonnay. This is a foodie white and pairs well with most dishes be it fish, chicken or pasta. This is a pedigree level chardonnay and will drink now but also keep!

Kumeu River is a family run estate owned by the Brajkovich's, established in 1944. Their head wine maker Michael Brajkovich was the first person in New Zealand to achieve their Master of Wine certification (which is no mean feat!). The Brajkovichs have played a key role in the international recognition of New Zealand wine as a quality producing country, their Chardonnays in particular have gained world class recognition and have been known to beat the best in Burgundy.
