Picpoul de Pinet is known as 'the lip stinger'.  It's vibrant, zippy, crisp and fresh - the perfect alternative to Sauvignon Blanc and ideal for these long hot days and (longer, seemingly warmer) evenings we're having at the moment. Move over rosé, it's Picpoul time, and this is a very, very good example. Grown by the lagoon where half of France's oysters are harvested, this Picpoul de Pinet is made for seafood, but it slips down dangerously easily with salads, or just the lump of ice that you've popped in your wine glass (don't @ me, it's hot!)
