Testimonials

“Tom. What can I say, hands down the best set of events we’ve done this year. You’ve been phenomenal in delivering them. Clients have had so much fun. And it’s topped off such a great way to deliver content. Cannot wait to work with you again in 2021. The feedback we’ve got from these events with you has been off the scale. Thank you so much to you and your team for all the hard work behind the scenes to get everything delivered in time and also making the event on the day so much fun and extremely interactive. Your charisma and rapport with clients is great to see.”

How does it work?

These blind Wine tastings are the most fun way we know to run a wine tasting.

We work with you to select the date, time and venue to suit your budget and requirements.

Once agreed, you send out your invitations. Before the event, you provide us with a guest list split into teams with appointed team captains.

On the night we greet guests with a glass of fizz. At an agreed time, we split the guests into their teams, we appoint team captains and we run the tasting in a completely inclusive manner. Everybody has fun, regardless of their wine knowledge.

The blind Wine tasting comprises seven wines and lasts about 1.5 hours. Teams accumulate points throughout, so we end up with a winning team, the runners up and the ‘wooden spoon’ team.

We like to have these booked at least 2 weeks prior to the event date.

?

How long does it last?

The blind wine tasting lasts for about 1.5 hrs but the event itself lasts for three hours or more. Guests can of course leave earlier.

?

DO I HAVE TO KNOW MUCH ABOUT WINE TO ENJOY IT?

Absolutely NOT! These are fun events, completely inclusive and often with a wine grower or a chef as well.

?

WHERE DO THESE TASTINGS HAPPEN?

We have run these tastings in the Tower of London, companies offices, roof terraces and homes; they work pretty much anywhere and we can help you find and decide upon a venue to suit your location, budget and needs.

?

WHO PROVIDES THE EQUIPMENT?

We will work with you to make sure all the equipment we need for the event is either provided by the venue or by us.

Here below is what we need:

  • 1 champagne flute per person.
  • 3 wine glasses per person (one for white, one for Red and one for a glass or two of your favourite wine afterwards)
  • 1 spittoon for each tasting table
  • Water
  • Canapés/food
?

SHOULD WE/CAN WE PROVIDE FOOD?

I recommend that you provide substantial canapes with the reception fizz and, depending on the timings and location of the event, it is good to provide food after the tasting as well.

I can provide this for you but it is often best to organise this through the venue. I can help organise this with you.

?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

We have three tears for the Blind Wine tasting – good better and best and they are priced as below. These prices are excluding venue hire, equipment hire and food and are based on a minimum spend of £2000 ex VAT:

Good: £95 per head ex VAT
Better: 135 per head ex VAT
Best: £165 per head ex VAT

virtual wine tasting events

Unfortunately, we are not running any in-person events. We look forward to hosting these again very soon!

?

HOW DO THEY WORK?

My virtual tastings are run on Instagram live. I have various themes running throughout the year. All tastings comprise four carefully chosen wines, sourced and shipped by me and I recommend the food to enjoy with the wines.

We taste through the wines, often with a guest chef and a wine grower or two learning about the wines, the food and how best to enjoy them together.

You can find all my upcoming tastings here on calendly.

You choose the tasting you would like to attend. You buy the tasting box containing the four wines. I deliver this to you in good time before the event with tasting notes, a ‘what’ to expect’ running order and cooking/serving instructions for both the wines and the food.

?

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

The tasting lasts about 1.5 hrs but you can join and leave when you want and I stay on answering questions for as long as you want.

?

DO I HAVE TO KNOW MUCH ABOUT WINE TO ENJOY IT?

Absolutely NOT! These are fun events with characterful wine growers and chefs where I will be learning as much as you.

?

WHAT DO YOU GET?

To enjoy the tasting you’re best to buy the wines. These come in the beautiful tasting box which has in it:

  • The four wines
  • Corkscrew
  • Dropstop
  • Tasting Notes
  • Prep guidelines
