Ruta 49 Albariño, Bodegas Viña Cartin, Rías Baixas, 2023

This is an unashamedly delicious and fun wine that’s dangerously fruity and moreish. It’s like trays of ripe nectarines and peaches have been rammed in to a bottle then they’ve whacked in a bit of honeysuckle. It’s a match made in heaven for bbq’d and fried fish and a very fine example of Albariño from Rias Baixas.
