Flaccianello della Pieve, Fontodi, Central Tuscany, Italy, 2020

Flacionella is the much-lauded, flagship wine of the Fontodi Estate in Tuscany. Recognised as one of Italy's finest super Tuscans the wine is always full-bodied, long-lived, well-structured and sublime.

2020 was a very good year for this wine and it IS, absolutely spellbinding. It needs a bit of time to develop but will give all the black cherry, plum and spice that is so exquisite in the best examples of this wine.
