Keermont Syrah 2017, Stellenbosch, South Africa

This gets our vote as the best value Syrah coming out of the Cape at the moment ... and it's been so for quite some time.  The flavours seem to segway the Northern Rhone and Aus - it has the finesse and elegance of the former and the 'want another glass'iness' of the latter.  With bags of character and generosity, Keermont bottle up a wonderfully charming, black fruit laden, spicy Syrah here, and it's a wine that's very worth a follow.
