Morgon Hommage, Chateau de Durette, Beaujolais, France, 2022

Morgon is one of the sturdier Crus of Beaujolais and this wine does it's appellation proud.  From a wonderfully generous and ripe vintage and a producer who's festidious about producing wines with real character, this is gorgeously ripe, fleshy, well structured Gamay with soft, gentle tannin.  It's drinking deliciously now and will evolve in bottle with careful cellaring.  These well made Beaujolais' tend to taste more like delicious Burgundys when fully mature 😋
