On the nose, this is Italian through and through! It's got tart red cherry, something a little herbal and something quite savoury like tomato leaf. On the palate, other flavours develop of liquorice and a touch of leather. The tannins are fine smooth, medium bodied with some good acidity, a stunningly balanced wine.

This wine is a really fun take on a bit of a hybrid super Tuscan! It's got the international varieties Merlot and Cabernet Franc but also plenty of Sangiovese, a very Tuscan grape. As with most things Italian, this is foodie wine and would wash a pizza down very easily!
