Morgon Cote du Py, Jean Foillard, Beaujolais, France, 2022

This little hill (Côte du Py) in Morgon produces incredible wines.  What's more, Jean-Marc Burguaud is the King here.  He's the largest owner of vines on this hill and makes wines of fabulous depth and intensity.  This 2022 has rich, ripe, red cherry and plum fruit, fine tannin and a finish that goes on forever.  I LOVE it.  If you're a red burgundy fan and fancy a properly fine wine at a fraction of the cost then have a go on this 😋.  It'll develop well with 5 - 10 years careful cellaring too.
