Touriga Vai Nua Fitapreta, Alentejo, Portugal, 2022

Touriga Vai Nua translates as Touriga goes naked - no oak, just layers of rich, ripe cherries, blackberry, blueberry and herbs and I LOVE this wine for it.  Portugal is a favourite of mine for great quality for the money and this delivers all of it's £20 charge.  Wine maker Antonio Maçanita is making some of the most exciting and delicious wines in Portugal at the moment and this is right up there with his best.
